405 felt pretty easy which made me happy. Probably could have gone higher, but I had to work in with someone and I was tired of it. Glad the 400s came back so quick. I'll be looking to get back to squatting 420+ every session in a few weeks.
I will also be focusing a lot on deadlifting. Something which I have not done before. The plan is to deadlift daily along with the squats but to mostly do reps for speed in the 50-60% range. Rarely I will venture as high as 70%, but no more than that.
Trying to break that deadlift plateau?
ReplyDeleteI WILL break the plateau. I honestly think it's just neglect. I don't really focus on it. I can tell because just from that little bit of deadlifting that I did my hamstring and lower back were sore. Even though I can hit 400 weights in the 200s are still stressful and that should not be. If I were to compare it to squats I could squat 225 for as many sets as I wanted and not be sore the next day. Need to apply that to deadlifting also.
