Rollup of this week.
Didn't have internet this week so I won't post everything workout by workout, but here are some relevant numbers that occurred.
Press:
210 x 1
I got 225 off the shoulders, but I have a little work to do before it goes overhead.
Squat:
410 x 1
VERY easy, I probably should have gone for 420, but I wanted to end on a good one.
315 x 15
new rep PR for me.
Bench
300 x 1
100DBs x 10
Deadlift
420 x 1
FINALLY broke that 405 barrier and it went up very smooth.
BB Row
225 x 12 (underhand grip)
I've really fallen in love with 5,3,1. Just an awesome program. I also feel like the high rep assistance work is really helping.
Glad to hear that 5/3/1 is working for you brother! It has simplified and enhanced my training so much that I can't current picture training without it. On my 6th straight cycle, and although the extra reps are decreasing for the press, everthing is still progressing and I'm still making my numbers. It has made my conditioning so much more focused and productive.
ReplyDeleteDamn good work on the press too! That lift is my bugaboo:)
Deadlift is moving right along too brother! Also, Taylor Swift is a great American, but she is no daggum Jessica Biel. Good day.
ReplyDeleteHave you read Beyond 5/3/1? I have it but haven't read it yet. I'm sure I could find a way to send it to you if you haven't.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, sweet mother of God, you are getting strong.
Whats up dudes. Thanks for checking in. On leave in Europe right now WHAAAA. So no lifting haha. But its on like donkey kong in one more week.
ReplyDeleteNQ. Check your comments. Strong work brother. Strong work.
Brad! Good to hear from you. I have not read it, but I certainly will. No need to send it however as I do not mind supporting Jim and his awesome program. I am happy to buy it. How is everything going with your training?
