Interesting observation.  Over the last week or so I've noticed that my squat technique has sort of evolved organically. It's not something I'm making a conscious effort to do, but as I've been getting slightly heavier I'm moving a little bit toward a power lifting style squat.  The bar placement has crept down from the top of my traps to near the bottom of my traps / top of my shoulder.  My stance has also widened slightly.  It went from being between hip and shoulder width to between shoulder width and just outside.  My torso angle remains fairly upright.  I think it's is pretty interesting.  Even though I've generally been an ardent high bar squatter I'm not going to fight it. It feels comfortable and the weights are feeling great.  Also if I can engage my hips and hamstrings a little more maybe it will drag my deadlift up a little bit with it.  Which is something I will never complain about.
