  1. I've been looking at doing 5/3/1, but probably still have some linear gains available to me via GSLP or SS. Would you advise switching over to 5/3/1 or riding out the gains....I am getting bored on the linear programs.....any thoughts?

  2. If you're still able to easily add 5 pounds to the bar every week I'd juice it for all it's worth. Find a new linear strength program if you're getting bored. SS is boring as shit I sympathize with that. I think you can switch to 5/3/1 at any point, but It's not going to be better as far as excitement goes. It's slow, it's consistent, and if it's going to work you're going to have to stick it out for the long haul. I attribute it working well for me because I did it for about 7 months straight last year. If I can manage to stay on it consistently for this entire year I think it will provide me with outstanding progress. I will say it is easier to add your own flavor of extra work to 5/3/1 than SS. So that's something to consider.
